What Can You do to Improve Your Vacuum’s Performance?
You can’t turn your vacuum up to 11, but you can hold parts more securely using gasket!
There are two modes of thought using gasket. First is using our Grid Gasket to seal the bottom perimeter of your porous spoilboard or dedicated fixture. This will help focus your draft through the top of your porous material or vacuum ports and will secure your working area for your parts to rest on.
The next step is creating an airtight seal between your spoilboard and your raw material, the parts we want to cut. We do this using a variety of gasket methods as no two shops or projects are the same.
Our On-Board adhesive gasket is best suited for short run projects and is a peel and stick gasket tape. This is the quick and dirty method of creating a semi dedicated fixture on your spoilboard.
The Tile Gasket is excellent for full sheet and nested program cutting applications where sizes and shapes vary between sheets of material and final product. With vacuum holes punched every one inch it is possible to hold onto parts as small at 3″ x 4″ square.
Cover Gasket is a full sheet of gasket material that covers the entire surface of the spoilboard. This material is used to create a stencil of your product with an area removed for a vacuum space to be created. Great for small parts with narrow corners and sharp edges.
With a good seal and proper vacuum there is no need to screw down small parts, use clamps or buy a larger pump.
Stop the leak, Hold it better, Cut it better, Profit Better.
